Counselor's introduction
- I have been a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist since 1993. In
my work with families, couples and individuals, I have found that
happiness lies in having rich, caring relationships with people that we
love. To develop loving and caring relationships with others requires
skill and compassion. My job as a family therapist is to offer insight
and awareness as to ways to develop these kinds of relationships. I
have found that my clients demonstrate an openness, courageous spirit
and perseverance to achieve this goal. I have been blessed throughout
the years to work with many people who have taught me what it is to be
human. It has always been my desire to give back what I have received.
Psychotherapy
in its true form is a journey and not a destination. Psychotherapy was
developed as a growth and development experience. It is not about
pathologizing or diagnosing, but about discovery and awareness of the
human condition. In working with clients I seek for them wholeness and
connection in their lives.
